Personal Information

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password. If you sign up using Google or Apple, we receive your name and email from the respective provider.

Profile Information

To provide scholarship matching, we collect information you voluntarily provide in your profile, including but not limited to: academic level, GPA, major, state of residence, citizenship status, ethnicity, gender, financial need, extracurricular activities, and other demographic information relevant to scholarship eligibility.

Essay Content

If you use our essay tools, we store the essays and drafts you create within the Service to provide writing assistance and improvement suggestions.

Usage Data

We automatically collect certain information about your device and usage of the Service, including device type, operating system, app or browser version, and interaction data such as searches performed and features used.

We use the information we collect to: (a) provide and maintain the Service; (b) match you with relevant scholarships based on your profile; (c) provide AI-powered essay feedback and advisory guidance; (d) process subscriptions and payments; (e) communicate with you about your account and service updates; (f) improve and optimize the Service; and (g) comply with legal obligations.

We use the following third-party services to operate the platform:

• •Supabase — Database hosting. Your account credentials and profile data are securely stored using Supabase Postgres infrastructure.
• •OpenAI — AI-powered features including the advisor chat and essay tools. Profile and essay data may be sent to OpenAI's API to generate responses. OpenAI's data usage policies apply.
• •RevenueCat — Subscription and in-app purchase management. RevenueCat processes purchase data from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
• •Apple & Google — OAuth sign-in and in-app purchase processing, subject to their respective privacy policies.

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with third-party service providers as described above, solely to operate and improve the Service. We may also disclose your information if required by law, regulation, or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of NextGrant, our users, or others.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to: (a) access the personal data we hold about you; (b) request correction of inaccurate data; (c) request deletion of your data; (d) object to or restrict processing of your data; and (e) request portability of your data. The Service is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy within the app or website. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
